Contests are open to all attendees and vendors; there is no additional fee to enter (with the exception of the table games that require banquet ticket purchase). Show organizers cannot enter or win any contests, however they may purchase paid raffle tickets.
There is NO MAXIMUM on how many people may enter a contests but each person is limited to ONE entry per contest.
Contest Drop OFF - Saturday 10:30AM-11:30AM, Sunday 9:30AM-10:30AM for best advantage, please bring your doll both days - Dolls MUST be picked up at the end of each day. Resin rose is NOT responsible for any dolls left in the convention area overnight.
Contest Pick UP - Saturday 5:15PM, Sunday 4:45PM
Winners Announced - Sunday during Closing Ceremonies.
Winners will be determined by votes of the attendees and organizers; ballots will be included with your Membership or vendor badge packet.
All work must by done by the person entering the contest, and should be kept secret prior to the show. All dolls must be displayed secured in a stand or chair. Resin Rose will not be providing stands. Small accessories may be displayed around the doll, but no backgrounds or walls unless specified by the contest.
Faceup Contest
With the success of last year we are again having a non theme Faceup contest! Faceups will be judged on creativity, execution and overall quality. Please keep in mind that this is an all ages show, gratuitous gore and use of blood should be limited. All work must be your own. Heads may be presented on a full doll (must be dressed and in a stand,or seated) or on a bust/headstand. Wigs and eyes may also be displayed but the head must be on a bust/head stand in that case. If a head is entered without a stand, it will be displayed with the head cap off and upside down so that it will not roll off the table.
There are no size categories, all heads will be judged equally.

Costume Contest
Based on the theme - Monster/Horror/Haunted/Spooky, present your best costume interpretation with outfit and accessories fully handmade by you (exception for shoes, eyes and wig,). Dolls must be displayed secured in a stand or chair. No backgrounds/backdrops, the outfit must speak for itself. Please include a description or small reference photo if needed.
Prize - Myou Martha
Prop Contest
Based on the theme - Monster/Horror/Haunted/Spooky, present your best theme appropriate prop, companion or trinket in BJD scale. (Ex. doll size Jason mask and machete, Doll Scale Little Shop of Horrors Audry II companion,) All items must be handmade by you and may not consist of existing store bought props (no miniature butcher knife magnets PLEASE!). Please include a description or small reference photo of the item and title of the show/movie/reference along with your display.
Items can be displayed with a doll or without. If displayed with a doll item must be securely attached to a doll or the stand of a doll.
Prize - $100 Gift Certificate for printing services from Synthetic Ephemera
