Theme: Game Night
Our theme for 2024 is 'Game Night'! Board games, Card Games, Puzzles, D&D, pretty much any table friendly game goes! It's Friday night. You and your group of friends have gathered around the old & well worn dining room table in your kitchen as you have nearly every other Friday night for months on end, a carry over from your college days, and before that high school . It's game night- a cherished tradition you carry on as often as you can with friends new and old. In the center of the table is a stack of boardgames, puzzles, & table top RPG boxes. Collected or gifted to you over the years. Some from your childhood, others new. You read over the bright, bold words on the sides of each box, "monopoly, Sorry!, Catan, Risk, LIFE" Stacks of domino pieces, several playing card decks, assorted dice, & mismatched puzzle pieces make their home in the overturned lid of a long since lost mouse trap game box- you lost most of those pieces as a kid, but somehow this lid has survived. A looming book shelf holds even more game boxes, a chess set, your D&D GM screen and rule books. More stacks of card based games, writing tablets and a jar of pens. You've amassed quite a collection! On the counter you've laid out Pizza, sodas, juice and big red plastic cups. A bowl full of pretzels and various chips. Fun size bags of candy. Piles of napkins & a stack of plates. Other treats and goodies brought by your friends fill out the spread of goodies for the night. A voice rings out from the table, asking the hardest question of the night: "What should we play tonight?" Your friends erupt in suggestions, everyone making a case for their favored game- "it's going to be another awesome game night" you smile to your self as you take your seat and start shuffling game boxes off the table. |
