Theme: Day at the Café
Our theme for 2023 is A Day at the Café. It's Coffee Shop AU. A stroll down a Parisian street full of cafés, patisseries, bakeries, a small gelato stand... The sent of fresh baked breads and the sweet smell of delicious deserts wafting in the spring air. You stop in front of a window, lined with pastel blue and a deep chocolate polka dot patterned bunting to admire the days offerings of this particular shop; Macaroons of every color lined up in neat little rows in boxes lined with the most delicate paper doilies. small bite sized mousse cakes, cookies and the flakiest croissants you've ever had, buttery and warm. The featured item of the day, as denoted by a hand written mini chalk board standee are small, fruit filled tarts so glossy and pristine looking you'd swear they were fake if it wasn't for the fact that you'd been to this very shop on many an occasion before. A larger chalk board standee sits just to your left, near the door, welcoming any and all to stop and relax with a fresh cup of steaming coffee, lovingly brewed and adorned with the lightest, frothiest milk foam. The faint jingle of a small silver bell chimes as you enter, a sound so familiar to you it goes unnoticed most days. You're a regular here. Sometimes stopping by more than once a day (something you'd never admit to!). You come for the coffee, and the treats- but also for the community. The people who work here, the regulars. You've all become good friends, some more than friends, and right now there's nowhere else you'd rather be. Indulge in your Coffee shop/Barista fantasy, live out that retro Coffee shop or café experience. Mini foods, hot coffee, friendships and more. See you in 2023 for our most deliciously themed show yet! |
